The Data Connect IG500, Industrial Grade Transportation Industry Bell 202T modem, directly connects to traffic controllers or variable message signs over point-to-point & multi-point private wire and leased 3002 Telco lines.  The internal power supply with fuse eliminates the external power supply.  In addition the Key-On-Data, KOD, polling signals of data are received from the host to generate an RTS handshake.  KOD is vitally important for interfacing with a communications device that demands constant RTS/CTS handshaking.

The IG500 is an enhanced replacement 202T modem designed to take full advantage of newer traffic controllers.  System communications with the IG500 modem can be improved due to selectable timing, anti-streaming and transmitter options.
